Classical Location Recording
Alongside making Hauptwerk Sample Sets, Barritt Audio provides classical location recording services for soloists, ensembles, choirs, and organists, with an emphasis on clarity, balance, and faithful representation of the performance and acoustic. Each project is planned individually, taking into account repertoire, musicians, and venue, in order to achieve results that are musically convincing and technically robust.
My approach prioritises careful microphone selection and placement, discreet working practices, and close collaboration with performers and organisers. Whether recording a live concert or a dedicated session, the focus is on capturing a natural perspective that supports the music without drawing attention to the recording process itself.
Barritt Audio offers complete on-location recording solutions, including multichannel capture, detailed editing, and professional post-production, with delivery in high-resolution formats suitable for release, broadcast, or archival use. All work is carried out with consistency, reliability, and respect for both the performers and the space in which the music is made.
I'm always excited to meet new people and take on new projects. Interested? Get in touch!
