About

I’m Ivan Barritt, a 20-year-old organist from Somerset, England. My musical journey began at age 9, when I sang as a chorister at Gloucester Cathedral. Inspired by the organ there, I started lessons a couple of years later, and not long after, I discovered Hauptwerk. With a few old keyboards, I put together a makeshift console to practice on, and my passion for virtual organs grew from there.

Over time, I became fascinated by the recording and production process behind Sample Sets. What started as a curiosity has become one of my greatest passions. Creating Sample Sets requires patience, expertise, and a lot of time, but is always worth it in the end. I built this website to share my work, and I’m currently studying Music and Sound Recording (Tonmeister®) at the University of Surrey to take my skills even further.

Looking ahead, I plan to expand my collection of Sample Sets and, hopefully, travel overseas to capture some of the world’s most renowned organs.
